1. What do you like to do in your spare time? I love to hang out with my husband, Ben, and our boys (ages 10 and 8) and see what adventures we can find – hiking, baseball, swimming, camping, etc. I love photography, reading and crafting. If I have free time, you’ll usually find me crafting, sewing, baking, reading or planning a birthday party! I can’t forget about movies – we are also a family that loves watching movies.
2. What is your favorite movie or book? I can never pick just one favorite of anything. I’m an avid reader of a wide variety of books. My favorite would be fiction and lately I’ve been into dystopian novels. I just finished reading “We Are Called to Rise” and “The Giver.” I’m now reading “Station Eleven.” “The Martian” is my favorite movie I’ve watched recently.
3. What is your favorite animal? Dogs – we have two: Rosie Cupcake (the crazy 3-year-old boxer/lab mix) and Lord Tyrion (the even crazier 8-month-old redbone hound/lab mix).
4. Where is your favorite place to go/vacation? I love exploring new places (in the U.S. and abroad), but also love to take my boys home to Seattle to visit my family. Useless Bay on Whidbey Island in the Puget Sound is one of my favorite places.
5. What is your favorite food? I love tacos (on corn tortillas). I also love bread and good cheese. Growing up with my French Meme, we never had a meal without good bread and I found my love of cheese while visiting my Tatie Genie in France during college. I can make a meal out of a baguette, cheese and dipping oil – yum!
6. What is a random/fun fact about yourself? My middle name is Spring, but I was born on the first day of summer.
7. What is your brush with fame? My first job out of college was with a technology association and we put on large scale national events where we had pretty cool talent come to perform and speak. Through that job I met Walter Cronkite, The Doobie Brothers, and Lyle Lovett.
