At the College of Arts and Sciences, we understand the pivotal role of academic advising in shaping your educational path. Our advising services are designed to foster meaningful relationships between students and advisors, providing invaluable support for planning your academic journey, honing essential skills for success, and accessing campus resources effectively.

Advising Appointments:

In the College of Arts and Sciences, every student receives guidance from dedicated professional academic advisors or faculty members. Advising sessions are conducted by appointment, with each session lasting 30 minutes. You can schedule appointments with professional advisors through myUK GPS. Detailed instructions for scheduling appointments via myUK GPS can be found here. Should you need to cancel an appointment, you can do so conveniently through the myUK GPS appointment scheduling system. For inquiries that don't require a face-to-face meeting, many questions can be addressed via email.

On-Call Advising Services Schedule:

The College of Arts & Sciences offers on-call advising services on the following days and times for the convenience of students:

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 am - 11:30 am, 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Please note: Students may sign in for on-call advising during the listed hours. Advisors remain available until 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm every day to accommodate students who have signed in prior to these times. 

How to Access On-Call Advising:

• In-Person: Visit the A&S Advising Center in 355 Patterson Office Tower during the specified on-call advising hours.
• Virtual Appointments: Contact the A&S Advising Center at asadvisingcenter@uky.edu to schedule a virtual advising appointment.
