Many students wait until the very end of their graduate studies to begin exploring their career options. Careers Beyond the Professoriate exposes students to a range of diverse career directions and helps prepare them to bring their research, critical thinking, and communication skills to a variety of occupations.  We encourage Ph.D. students to assess their interests in order to develop personalized career paths. In addition to the resources here, graduate students should explore the many tools and resources available from The Graduate School's Office of Professional Enhancement. These include Aurora, Imagine PhD, Versatile PhD, GradDegree+, and others. Graduate students should also explore the Graduate School's Student Success Pathway which identifies concrete  professional development action items for each stage of in a graduate student's career.
