What is the College of Arts & Sciences?

The College of Arts & Sciences includes 19 academic departments, 32 majors, 37 minors, and six undergraduate certificates. It is the largest academic college at the University of Kentucky with an enrollment of more than 5,800 undergraduate and graduate students, and more than 400 devoted faculty members. How do I apply to the College of Arts & Sciences? Are there any special requirements for my major?

When you apply to the University and select a major within the College of Arts & Sciences on your UK Admissions Application, you will automatically be enrolled within the college once you are accepted to the University of Kentucky.  If you would like to apply for admission to the University of Kentucky and the College of Arts & Sciences, please visit

Can I double major within the academic college?

Yes, you are able to declare a double major if you are interested in more than one area of study.  We have wonderful academic advisors within the College of Arts & Sciences who will help you to select the correct classes you will need to earn a dual degree. 

How do I set up a campus visit?

If you would like a campus tour you may contact the UK Visitors Center at (859) 257-3595 or visit their website at  When scheduling a campus visit, please give the Visitors Center 2-3 weeks advance notice of when you would like to tour and visit campus so they can help to arrange your day.
